According to Google Trends, the top search terms in the US are Jordan vs Argentina (score: 100), Algeria vs Austria (score: 100), and Panama vs England (score: 100). At first glance, it seems like football fever has taken over the US. But let's take a closer look: it's possible that these searches are not actually related to the World Cup.

When you dig deeper, it appears that these terms are actually about video games or sports video games.

On the other hand though, the World Cup itself did get a few mentions on Google News. However they didn't show up in the trending section.
